Background

Danish business now operates on a global scale.  Whether it be a foreign posting, cross-border negotiations or liaising with an overseas client, colleague or supplier, interaction across cultures is today an everyday occurrence.

A lack of cultural preparation can have an impact at many levels – from an embarrassing moment, to a breakdown in communication, to a lost deal.  Understanding differences in, for example, managerial style and employee co-operation are essential for successful cross-cultural interactions, which in turn affect the effectiveness and performance of the company.

Objective

The objective of a tailored programme is to provide participants with an in-depth cultural awareness and understanding of cultural differences in the multi-cultural workplace. Additionally, to provide the necessary tools and techniques to improve cross-cultural interactions and become inter-culturally competent.
